Golf is well-catered for in the area. Fort William
Golf Club has
a 9 hole course at the foot of Ben Nevis which provides a challenging
round with superb views into the North Face of the mountain.
At Spean Bridge, another 9 hole course welcomes visitors. Out in the west,
by the shores of the Atlantic ocean, and with wonderful views across silver
sand to islands on the horizon, is Traigh
Golf Course. This course is rapidly becoming popular with visitors as it
is both challenging and amazingly scenic.
The Dragon's Tooth Golf Course at Ballachulish opened in 2002
and offers yet another opportunity for golfers visiting the Fort
William area.
In Fort William a Pitch and Putt course welcomes locals and visitors.
