Loch Linnhe floods and ebbs through "The Narrows" between
Corran and Ardgour village. A regular ferry service operated by
Highland
Council conveys people and vehicles across this short stretch of
water to access the Ardgour area and beyond to Ardnamurchan, the
Isle of Mull and Iona via a second ferry at Lochaline.
This area is a particularly scenic spot with wide open views of
the hills and sea lochs. The Corran Ferry is 15 minutes from Glencoe
and about 20 minutes from Fort William, and operates continuously
between dawn and dusk.
Nearby the community of Inchree provides visitor services including
outdoor sports. There are pretty waterfalls, forest walks and mountain
biking tracks.
