Nevis Range mountain gondola and activity centre
Nevis Range operates the only Gondola mountain cable car in the UK. During the spring, summer and autumn, Nevis Range is a mecca for downhill mountain biking and low-level walkers. This outdoor visitor and activity centre - the brain-child of mountaineer and businessman Ian Sykes - offers over 30kms of forest paths and cycle-ways for everyone to enjoy. On good days with high cloud levels, a scenic trip on the mountain gondola is an enjoyable, unique experience.
At the base station, a cafe and bike hire facilities, and a short, easy biking track for youngsters to test their skills complete what's on offer. Bring the family along with their mountain bikes and enjoy some of the low level, forest trails.
From November to April winter sports are available depending on mother nature and how much snow she brings to the Fort William mountains.
