If you are visiting the Fort William and Lochaber area, you will be interested to know where you can eat out and buy food - including a range of products made by local food specialists.
This page lists all the places to eat out in the Lochaber area who are in the Lochaber Directory. If you are staying for a short break or longer, there are some excellent locations to discover during the day, and stay there to eat out before returning to your accommodation. The longest journey across Lochaber, a scenic treat, would not be much longer than an hour and a half - something quite feasible during a full day out exploring.
Fort William restaurants and bars, cafes and bistros offer a variety of dining styles and cuisines, so we hope you find one you like. The West Highlands of Scotland are a world-famous for the quality of our salmon and trout and of course Scottish venison which is a low fat, highly flavoursome, tender meat. Our local seafood restaurants provide nothing but the very best casine from the sea. a small number of restaurants have Michelin starred chefs or AA rosettes in recognition of the quality of their food. Inverlochy Castle Hotel Restaurant, The Lime Tree, and The Airds Hotel are just three which come to mind.
